We flew out of London on the 23rd September and landed in Cairo seconds later. Snatched around two hours sleep at a hotel, overslept and nearly missed the next flight to Luxor. When we got to Luxor we checked into our hotel Le Meridien and immediately upgraded to a Superior Nile View room. Here we spent three days of sheer hell prior to boarding the good ship Caprice, well no actually it turned out to be the Serenade. That night we were joined by Andrea and Steve and departed the next day on the 4 night cruise. Once we arrived in Aswan We did a side trip to Abu Simbel and then on our return disembarked and flew to Cairo. Then three nights in the Marriot hotel in Cairo before comeing back to frigid London.

So much to see and digest its hard to get it all out in text. We did a fleeting visit to the Cairo Museum, which is well worth the visit, the night markets of Cairo are great for a wander too. We brought numerous bits and bobs including two Shisha's one of which we got though one of the guides Mohamed and the other from the hotel restaurant at the Marriot in Cairo. The Marriot is a great hotel with service and dining to die for not to mention a good casino. Well, I guess it was a former Palace. If you can get your head around the haggling the people are really friendly and welcoming.

So go already!
